Audi
South Africa stakes all time trades... Best interminably in August 2010
Audi South Africa August 2010 abstains grasped the Audi
trademark post its premier
ever
sales performance on the Audi marketplace. Through
continuous
robust demand through the model selection, the Audi brand is on track
aimed at a new year of best
ever successes.
Audi South Africa With
1260 sales recorded in August, Audi
managed a premium market share of 21,8%. Year to date, Audi’s
performance in the premium segment has risen from 15,6% in 2009 to
16,9% in 2010.
“Following the successful introduction of the all new Audi A8, and
continued strong demand for the A3, Q5, A4,
A5 and Q7, we remain
optimistic that Audi’s local performance will remain consistently
strong.
“Our
B segment sales remain promising and August also saw the highest
ever sales penetration for the Audi A4 model, posting 609 sales. In
addition, we recently introduced our A4 Efficiency model with 119 g/km
of CO², a car that is free of CO² tax.
We expect sales of this model to
grow following the introduction of CO² taxation on 1 September. Further
“tax-free” models are due in the A3 range in November.” Searle added.
“We are
extremely pleased with our August results.” said Ryan Searle,
General
Manager of Sales and Marketing for Audi South Africa. This
sales
record bodes well for us to achieve our volume and market share
objectives for 2010 and supports our parent company’s charge for
another sales record of over 1 million units this year.
Supporting the
sales momentum is the introduction of several sporty models in the
months leading up to December. The new Audi TT Product Improvement and
R8
Spyder were introduced at the beginning of September and the
mighty
RS 5 Coupé is due in the last quarter of 2010. Not surprisingly, all RS
5 models for this year have been sold.
General
Manager of Sales and Marketing
“Early next year
Audi plans to introduce our first ever A0 premium segment car – the
A1.” Searle continued.
“This is the Next Big Audi and pre-orders for this car are already
exceeding our expectations. The A1, along with models like the A7
Sportback, will allow Audi South Africa to strengthen its growth path
in the premium segment.” Searle concluded.
Following
the successful introduction of the all new Audi A8, and continued
strong demand for the A3, Q5, A4, A5 and Q7, we remain optimistic that
Audi’s local performance will remain consistently strong.
